Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! It's so nice and quite at 710am!
I've just inhaled a bowl of cereal and polished off my second cup of coffee. In about 20minutes the babes need to get up and chaos will again ensue.
I'm very tired and I definitely need a break from this big ol' pile of fleece robes. So a little blogging will do nicely.
Wanna see how it's coming along? I give you my week in pink...

fully wound bobbins ready to go
about 58 robes cut by hand
seriously I don't know what they did before the rotary cutter!

cutting ties in the car pool lane
my grandmother's scissors still cut beautiful!
step one: shoulder seams
Ava plays kitchen as I work.
She loves to collect the scraps that fall from the serger.
not my usual organized work
rest assured, they're folded now
Hopefully, this project will be completed this week. All that's left are the side seams, pockets and hems. hahaha - that's all.
Will keep you posted.
That's funny, by the way.

Does this mean that in just a couple of days, you will complete these 58 robes ?!!!! Oh my goodness, Shellie...I get a headache just picturing you doing so much sewing & then, there's still over 300 to go! You are truly amazing. I get a headache when I have to just wind 1 bobbin! My daughter is looking at this post with me too & she is also going "oh my goodness!...".
ReplyDeletei need coffee just looking at all this work. or a pepto bismol (get it -- cuz of the pink)!
ReplyDeleteway to go, sewbot!

Hey Shellie,
ReplyDeleteWanted to drop you a line and say happy birthday! The new quilt for your house a couple of posts back is super cool. Those are some great, great colors.
And very nice pic of Ed at the Bryant game! I'm glad to hear he's been doing a couple of card tricks recently...wasn't too sure how my bird themed cards would go over. score!
happy b-day!
